Discover the Thuringian Forest!

With its location close to the foothills of the Thuringian Forest, Eisenach has an almost paradisiacal flair. The area around Eisenach is known for its beautiful natural scenery, which has rightly been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is criss-crossed by some of the most beautiful hiking and cycling routes anywhere. There are sporty hiking and mountain biking routes as well as leisurely leisurely routes, leading picturesquely along the river, through low mountain ranges, into the nearby Hainich National Park and around the town.

Eisenach is also ideally connected to the Thuringian chain of towns and numerous cycle routes. Once you have conquered these routes, you won’t forget them in a hurry. All routes are manageable in any case, offer fantastic views and lots of fun.

Gorge tour near Eisenach
